About BCI
Rt.Rev.Noble Philip Ambalavelil, President Bethesda Prayer Fellowship & Charitable Ministries India (BCI). He is the 13th Bishop of Diocese of Travancore & Cochin Anglican Church, which is based at Bishop's House, CK Road, Churulikode Post, Pathanamthitta Dist, Kerala.
Our Bishop is born and brought up in an aristocratic family. He belonged to the Syrian Christian Tradition. But his missionary and evangelical zeal forced him to leave the mother church and chose to work among the downtroden and outcaste. For the first step he started a Orphan children’s Ministry and selected (51) fifty oneOrphans from the above category of our Diocese. This project was supported by faithful and well wishers from all walks of life from all over the world. But now as a Bishop his responsibility multiplied and he has to take much care of his parishioners that also from the downtroden. His mission is mainly among the tribals, aborigines, homeless coastal and hilly areas.
We, BCI is working for the upliftment of the poor for giving them maximum help and support for the studies, health care and for their standard of life to enlighten them and to introduce them to the mainstream we intend to expand our service among the youth and students of the schools and colleges against the evil habits such as drunkards and druggists. We took much initiative to work among the patients and aged.
In india there are so many opportunities to work among the people who are suffering from natural calamities such as drought flood, snowfall and epidemic. Our team consists of 30 missionaries, we are giving an incentive of nominal amount INR. 3000/- ($ 50, Euro 37) per month. For our children minimum INR 1500/-($ 25, Euro19) required for their monthly needs. That also is quite insufficient to meet their personal needs. But no way to increase that amount for all these expenses we are depending on the well wishers. Irrespective of denominations caste and creed. But we have no income as our own for example no estates, institutions, rented buildings etc. We beseech you to support us for all our missionary needs.
